The University of Basilicata was founded in 1981 and started its academic activities in 1982. The 7 Faculties of UNIBAS (Humanities, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Pharmacy, Economy and Educational Science) are all engaged in preserving and stimulating the cultural, economic and environmental heritage of the region while simultaneously looking at excellence in research and education. The Technical – Economical Department, offering specific training on subjects related with technical and economical aspects of agricultural and food science. One of the 4 Master Courses of the department will be offered as a part of the EDAMUS, it is titled: “Food Science and Technology.Finally The University of Basilicata has a long and wide tradition in terms of International Cooperation Activities. They include participation into more than 100 Erasmus bilateral agreements and into several didactic and research projects at international level.
